The Bible clearly discourages love of money as it is considered as the root cause of all evil. When we become obsessed with wealth and possessions our desires increase unnecessarily.

Consequently, either we become frustrated in our attempts to accumulate more wealth and fulfill unlimited desires or we tend to deviate from the right path. The Bible, nonetheless, is not against the idea of saving money for a rainy day.

“For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”
~ 1 Timothy 6:10

Lack of forgiveness and further revengeful attitude not only affects us and those around us but it also leaves us bereft of the blessing of God beause Jesus has commanded us to forgive. Hence, it is essential to develop a forgiving outlook.

“And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”
~ Mark 11:25

The 10 commandments are an integral part of Christianity and Judaism. They are the standing point of moral life. These biblical laws come from the Old Testament, Exodus 20:1-17 and Deuteronomy 5:6-21.

The numbering and interpretation of these commandments tend to somewhat vary in different traditions. Originally, God gave these laws to the people of Israel (after leading them out of Egypt) through Moses on Mount Sinai.

Here are the Ten Commandments
